Kat Pheysey

Founder & CEO 

PhD LMSW, MEd (she/her/hers)

Kat Pheysey is a sexuality consultant, counselor and educator providing sexuality services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and those who support them. 

​

Having worked in the field of IDD for more than twenty years Kat has seen the need for better sexuality services. This is where her passion for sexuality and people with IDD came together. For the past ten years Kat has worked to educate and train professionals, families and individuals with IDD in a variety of areas of sexuality.

​

Originally from the United Kingdom, Kat received her Bachelors degree in Psychology with Neuropsychology from the University of North Wales, Bangor before moving to New York. Here in the United States, Kat continued her education, obtaining her Masters in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, obtaining her LMSW in 2014.

Kat then moved her educational focus to sexuality and obtained her MEd in Human Sexuality from Widener University in 2018. Kat earned her PhD in Human Sexuality from Widener University in 2021. The focus of her research was "Factors that Affect the Intended Behaviors of Paid Staff Towards the Sexuality of People with IDD".

​

Kat is available to provide all services both in the UK and in NYC.

Kathryn Mannle
Sexuality & Disability Specialist
LMSW
(she/her/hers)

Kathryn is a counselor and educator within the field of IDD. She earned her LMSW at CUNY Hunter’s Silberman School of Social Work, graduating with a concentration in Clinical Practice with Individuals, Families, and Groups in Spring 2024.

 

Kathryn is originally from Long Beach, NY and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Boston College, majoring in Applied Psychology and Child Development with a minor in Special Education.

 

Individualized support and advocacy for people with IDD has been a focus of Kathryn’s work for the past ten years in various roles and settings. She has provided school-based counseling and sexual education, worked for public IDD agencies in NYC, and provided community and home-based care for individuals and families. Her passion for providing better access to sexuality services has grown out of the experiences she’s had working within the disability community.

Kathryn is available for sexuality education and counseling services both in-person and virtual.

Richelle Calderon

Sexuality Educator 

(she/her/hers)

Richelle Calderon is a bilingual educator in the field of health and sexuality education. She is currently pursuing her MEd in Human Sexuality, with a focus on Sexuality Education from Widener University.

 

Richelle is originally from New York City and received her Bachelor's Degree from Syracuse University, majoring in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Biology. During her time at SU, she was a Peer Educator Encouraging Healthy Relationships and Sexuality (PEEHRS) where she worked to educate her peers about sexuality. 

 

Throughout her years in education, Richelle has worked with people with IDD in various age groups. She has provided one-on-one mentoring and sexuality education in school-based settings. She is passionate about providing sexual health information to young people.

Richelle is available for sexuality education in English or Spanish for both individuals and groups.

Juliette Altman Disability Specialist
(she/her/hers)

Juliette earned her Bachelors in Psychology from Lesley University. She has over a decade of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in coaching, direct support, facilitating groups, and employment services. She started her career providing individualized support and life skills coaching and has experience supporting folks around areas of their sexuality, dating and relationships.

In her current role, Juliette develops partnerships with businesses to expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities, educates employers on inclusion, and leverages social media for advocacy. She is passionate about helping people build confidence and meaningful connections in their lives.

​

Juliette is available for in person support around dating and relationships, can help folks explore the city to build connections and specializes in supporting members of the queer community.
